Carola Dertnig (*1963, Austria) is an Artist who is interested in upturning and overwriting aspects of performance art history through strategies of feminist historical revisionism, including imaginative reconceptualization and performative interventions with existing documentation.
Her works have been exhibited in solo shows at Landesgalerie Niederösterreich, Crone Berlin and Vienna, Salzburger Kunstverein and Artist Space New York, as well as in several international group exhibitions.

The edition „…stagefight…“ was published by Galerie Andreas Huber on the occasion of a solo show by Dertnig in the year 2015. The pigmen print is part of  a larger series of works, which are all based on left-overs from film material, which she overworked and copied into different medias.

Works by Carola Dertnig are part of institutional collections, like Museum der Moderne Salzburg, Wien Museum, Generali Foundation and Belvedere Vienna.
